Operation

1. Go into the app and press 'Update Firmware’.
2. Motion+ will restart twice during the installation process.
- It will automatically restart after the first Bluetooth upgrade.
- During the second upgrade the power light will flash for about 10 seconds and then automatically restart.

Hold the Bluetooth and Volume+ buttons down at the same time for 5-10 seconds until Motion+ restarts.

Charging

If you haven't charged or used Motion+ in a long time the battery may have over-discharged. Charge for at least one hour before turning on.

Charging when powered on:
- Steady red light while charging
- Steady white light when fully charged

Charging when powered off:
- Steady red light when charging
- Light turns off when fully charged

Bluetooth

1. Clear all the pairing records on your device.
2. Turn the Bluetooth on and off on your device.
3. Hold down the Bluetooth and Volume+ button at the same time for 5-10 seconds until Motion+ restarts.
4. Search for Motion+ in your device's Bluetooth menu and pair.

1. Avoid placing any electronics devices in between the two Motion+ speakers when they are in stereo pairing mode.
2. Ensure the distance between the two speakers is no greater than 16 ft /5 m.
3. Put the master speaker on the right and the secondary speaker on the left.

MacBook:
1. Open 'Bluetooth' in settings and find 'soundcore Motion+' in the list of available devices.
2. Connect Motion+ to your MacBook.
3. Open 'Sound' to confirm that the Motion+ is the default for all sound. If it is not the default, change the settings.

Windows Laptops:
1. Open 'Bluetooth' in settings and find 'soundcore Motion+' in the list of available devices.
2. Connect Motion+ to your laptop.
3. Open 'Sound' to confirm that the Motion+ is the default for all sound.

Sound

Go to the EQ settings in the soundcore App and adjust as needed.

Update firmware to the latest version via the soundcore app.

BassUp is a separate EQ mode on Motion+. Use the soundcore App to switch back to your Custom EQ setting.

Ensure you are facing the microphone when making calls. It is located next to the BassUp button.

Came as advertised

Great sound (even better with a second speaker)

Was looking for a speaker that offered good sound while still being a portable size so chose the Motion+ based on the many great online reviews. I was impressed by the solid build, and the sound quality certainly lived up to expectations, though it's worth taking some time with the equaliser app to tune it to your personal music preferences.
I usually find 50% volume is about right indoors so the speaker isn't over-extended and the battery lasts well beyond the stated 12 hours.
When they were recently on offer I bought a second speaker to try pairing them in 'True Wireless Stereo' (TWS) mode, whereby one speaker becomes the dedicated Left channel and the second speaker the dedicated Right. This was well worth the investment as the stereo separation is clearly much improved and it gives an extra 30W if needed. (if going for TWS just ensure that you aren't trying to pair a pre-November 2022 speaker with the current model as they aren't compatible).
Also worth mentioning the excellent response from the Soundcore support team when I emailed them with a couple of questions about TWS.

1st Bluetooth speaker.....

Seriously impressed with the sound produced by the Motion+ after using the Soundcore app to optimise settings on the equaliser. Great bass for small unit, solid quality feel, thoroughly recommended. Very tempted to buy second unit for stereo effect. Easily lasts a complete day on a charge.

Fabulous device...

...previously had an Anker Soundcore 2 and wanted more of the same but bigger, settled on this after reading raves about the Motion X600, this suited my needs more, and significantly cheaper, (added to the fact it can handle the bass on Billie Eilish and Christina Aguilera recordings, even 'out of the box' with regular EQ settings without the soundcore app), this is a 'must' !:).It must be said that I use it exclusively 'wired' as I don't use bluetooth at all.
