Anker Liberty 4NC

First Anker earbuds i've ever been disappointed with

First off, I love Anker products and this is my 4th pair of Anker earbuds. Unfortunately, after a few months using these I'm left pretty disappointed.

The Good: The sound quality is great as always, the noise cancelling is extremely effective as well and while i'm only a few months in, if my previous experience with Anker products stays consistent then the quality will be top notch.

The Bad: Starting with the case, I find this charging case is really inconvenient to open. While it's an easy/smooth touch button, the smooth texture of the case itself and the size of the opening clamshell lid leaves very little to hold onto as you're trying to open it up. While it's a minor thing, compared to my previous Liberty earbuds, I feel like this was a weird step back in design.

The next step back in design I feel is in regards to the touch controls on the earbuds themselves. My previous Libertys had a physical push button that allowed easy changing of tracks (didn't have volume control), but the touch controls on these I find are really finick-y. I like that you can reprogram them to do what you want, but I find that trying to double or triple click them takes multiple tries as it often doesn't pick up the second or third click. It's even worse when i'm a bit sweaty from a workout.

Last but not least, I find these earbuds really don't stay in my ears very well, regardless of which size rubber tips I use. They seem to be a bit more oval shaped compared to the rounder shape of my previous Libertys so I find i'm constantly having to adjust them to keep them in, especially if i'm working out. If i'm chewing gum, the movement of my jaw makes them straight up useless. In order to keep them in, I basically have to have the tips facing straight forward, rather than more vertical like they're supposed to be (similar to the Apple design) NOTE: I've got some weird shaped ears, so this might just be a 'me' problem but compared to my 3 previous Anker sets, these ones just don't fit the same.

As mentioned, I'll always recommend Anker products as i've had nothing but positive experiences with both the products and especially the customer service, but unfortunately these earbuds just leave me wanting more such that I'll probably need to go buy another pair.

Pleased with these ear buds. Coming off Sony Link Buds S since the battery quality on those are subpar. So far, so good. I’m happy to stick with Soundcore. Anker makes reliable audio products!

Nice base. Very clear sound.

The anc can’t match the Apple AirPod pros. These sound a million times better for a quarter of the price. I highly recommend. Great job soundcore
