The product arrived nicely packaged with a get started guide and with a USB – C to USB – C charging cable included. The packaging is printed front and back with product information.
Overall, this speaker has a quality feel to it. It has the right amount of weight for its size in the palm of my hand. The two-position strap is easy to work. You can strap it across the back / bottom of the speaker or form a loop at the top, so there are a lot of options for securing it to your things while on the go. The base features four small silicone feet that keep it stable on solid surfaces and reduce vibration.
The Soundcore display showed it was charged to 66% capacity when turned on right out of the box. It was able to effortlessly pair it with my cell phone. I opened the SXM App and streamed Real Jazz. I was quite pleased with the big sound, especially with the base boost mode on. It charged the rest if the way to 100% in less than half an hour.
You can cycle through base booster on, off and ECO mode with a single press of the mode button to the left of the display. Double tapping the mode button, cycles through many light display options. I lost count, but I found several display options that I liked. The light display feature can be turned on or off by long pressing the mode button.
The lights and base boost feature are off when in ECO mode.
The soundcore Boom Go 3i speaker has an IP68 (Ingress Protection) rating. It is designed to keep dust and dirt out and can withstand immersion in the water. It is not intended for underwater use, but if it falls overboard, or in the pool and you retrieve it, it should still work. I have not tried this, but that is what the rating means.
The speaker has a large enough battery to last all day in ECO mode. I have yet to see how long it will last with base blasting and lights blaring. I doubt it would be an issue.
There is a downloadable app that provides extra functionality. I don’t really want another app, but I downloaded it to see what it does. First, it enables firmware updates. A good thing. There are several white noise options, Sleep stories, meditation, etc. I haven’t tried them. If you use a white noise generator, maybe this is for you.
The application enables some configuration options when the speaker is connected. You can change what each press action on the mode button does. It offers a voice amplifier (megaphone) feature using your phone’s microphone.
The feature I like is the equalizer. The equalizer allows you to tailor the sound to your liking or surroundings. There are four presets, and a custom. I was able to get sound more to my liking individually adjusting the 9 frequency bands with the custom equalizer. Much better than just the base boost feature (as nice as it is), or one of the four presets.
There are light display modes or shows that you can select with the app. Very cool, but I only briefly played around with that feature.
Bottomline, this speaker has a lot of features to explore. It can connect multiple speakers and sync them, but I cannot speak about any of those possibilities. I only have one speaker, and think it is pretty good old fashion style right out of the box. I recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a rugged, great sounding portable Bluetooth speaker. I’ll fiddle with all those other cool attributes over time, but right now, I think I will chill to Some of My Favorite Things

It puts out a shockingly crisp and dynamically-toned 92 dB at peak loudness. I’ve never had something so small output distortion-free music at such a high volume; the clarity is truly remarkable.

This portable party box includes Soundcore’s BassUp 2.0 boost feature, which adds a more-than-respectable punch (for the size) at low to medium volumes, though it becomes somewhat less noticeable at higher decibels. There is even a multi-speaker connection setting for syncing compatible devices.

Additionally, the Soundcore Boom Go i3 is equipped with a set of RGB lights built into the front speaker grill. A multi-function button allows me to switch between 6 music-reactive modes and 8 ambient lighting modes to customize my celebrations, from EDM marathons to soothing soirées.

Enhancing the grab-and-go, worry-free vibe is its IP68 waterproof rating and 1-meter drop protection. It’s like it was designed personally for my “all thumbs” approach to personal item management. The Boom Go i3 also comes with a cleverly designed rubber strap that attaches securely in one of two slots on the back. This lets me attach it to backpack MOLLE webbing or loop it through a carabiner. So far, it has found a permanent home dangling from my disc golf bag, providing a heavy metal soundtrack for my tree-to-water-hazard course strategy.

Battery & Charging :::
As an added bonus, the Boom Go i3 can act as a portable charger, giving me a way to ensure I can continue recording my impressively high stroke count on my phone even when the battery is low. Beyond that, the speaker boasts an ECO mode that will keep the music going for 40+ hours on a single charge.

I’ve owned a half-dozen portable speakers of various sizes, and this Soundcore Boom Go i3 is by far the best value for the size, performance, durability, and sound profile. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting outstanding sound on the go.

My wife and I snagged this speaker, based on our affinity to other Anker products. We got a chance to test it out during our beach trips and pool days here in South Florida, and honestly, this little guy has been way better than we even expected.

First off, the sound punches way above its palm-sized weight. At 15W it gets surprisingly loud and clear with solid bass for outdoor vibes. No tinny mess like some compact speakers. We crank it poolside or on the sand and it fills the space without distorting, even with waves crashing or people chatting.

The customizable LED light strips are a fun bonu. My daughter loves when we mess with the colors and patterns via the app to change the vibe, and they look way cooler in person than in pics. Subtle glow at night by the pool, or pulsing beats during the day. It adds that extra party feel without being obnoxious.

I was expecting a decent small Bluetooth radio - they are fairly ubiquitous now, but this speaker entirely surprised me. Firstly, for such a small package, it actually has very good bass. I'm impressed that was possible without the old-fashioned size (old school thoughts are that bass requires a large moving speaker cone). This device charges up quickly. I received it at 56%, plugged in, and got to 76% in about 10 minutes. Charging 20% to 80% is under an hour at that rate. Hooking up to anything on Bluetooth is very easy. You simply turn on the power, and it is discoverable.
I haven't personally tested it in water yet, but the advertised water resistance of IP68 is amazing - basically you should be able to take this into the hot tub with you. Getting all of this for a great value truly surprised me. I know I'll be using this little guy often and I recommend it to you as well.
