This so much better than PLAUD. In fact it uses the same interface and same methods to transfer audio to the app for processing. One MAJOR advantage this has over PLAUD is the built in magnetic clip and the easy to carry charging puck that MagSafes to the back of your phone. That puck is also an extended battery so whether you choose to keep in in the case or remove it to be a lapel, it is easier to charge and be more readily available for your recording needs.

I can't say enough good things about this!I actually have to withhold reviewing anything else just to make this five-star review bear its true value.My only regret is giving other things five stars that I've reviewed in the past because this five-star review brings it to a new level of meaning.You would think that your phone could replace what this thing does, and really it can, the question is do you really want it to?Wouldn't it be better to have a device dedicated to taking your notes and remembering things that you say for you?

For me, the use of any recording device has ethical and legal issues that should be taken into consideration - but the issue revolves around consent by those being recorded or if there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. For example, you would not have a reasonable expectation of privacy if you are in a public space but you might if you were on a phone call and the recording was not disclosed by the other party. There are certainly nuances to this issue and there are both federal and state laws governing these situations. My advise is to just be aware of these privacy concerns. With that being said, my experience using the Anker AI voice recorder has been exceptional. I am a little bit hard of hearing and I'm certain they get frustrated when I ask them to repeat themselves sometimes 2 or 3 times. This especially matters when I'm discussing issues of critical importance - perhaps with a legal or medical professional, and I fear that I might have missed something. As such, it is nice to have the voice recorder clipped to my shirt/collar for me to record and have access to a transcript of the conversation for my later review. I simply advise them that I am hard of hearing and will be recording the converation - and as of this writing, I have had no objections to my being able to record. With that being said, I now have a recording of the conversation with transcript if I ever need to prove what I was told vs. what was signed on paper (such as a car rental agreement). Consequently, the voice recorder gets top marks for its practicality and usefulness. The pendant and dock are also of very good build and quality. Although the pendant is not haptic (buzz) to indicate when it is turned on or off, you know it is turned on when the button is fully depressed and I do not have to remove the pendant from my shirt/collar to verify if it is on or off. The AI also gets high marks for its transcription accuracy and summations. Taken as a whole, I give this AI voice recorder very high marks!

I acquired this Soundcore portable AI Voice Recorder mainly because I needed something simple to record classes and appointments. I’m not very techy, but this was surprisingly easy to use.All I really have to do is clip it on and press one button—it starts recording right away. The recordings show up in the app automatically, and the device even turns them into text and summaries for me. I didn’t have to figure out anything complicated. The summaries are especially helpful because they give me the important points without me having to listen to the whole thing again.I like that it’s very small and light, and the clip and necklace make it easy to wear.
