I’ve had sleep issues for a number of years now, so I thought I’d give these a go, and I’ve been using them for about a month now. I’m an aquarium hobbyist, which means a lot of pumps running causing humming around my place. The noise canceling in these headphones completely removes all noise around me at night. No need for white noise to be switched on, as som people seem to think. You can just activate noise cancelling in the app, and it just works without any other input. Complete silence. Maybe some users just haven’t looked at the options in the app. I’ve had no battery life issues either. They do have an optional function which pauses the audio once the headphones sense you’ve fallen asleep. This function gently fades the audio out (so not to startle you from your sleep) which I think some people are mistaking for them slowly dying while going flat. Mine last all night no problem. I pop them back in their case in the morning, and I haven’t actually managed to run them flat at all. I’m just in the habit of plugging in the case every few days to keep it charged up.
I have quite small, sensitive ears, so I must admit it’s not like I can’t feel them at all when laying on my side, but they’re more comfortable than any others I’ve tried. I can still fall asleep with them in. Or, if my ears are feeling more sensitive, I just take out the one I’m laying on, and my pillow does a pretty good job of blocking noise for that ear. If I roll over once I’m asleep, the earbud in my other ear doesn’t bother me or wake me.
The relaxing audio tracks which are free in the app are really lovely. I personally like the forest one and the creek one. I haven’t tried the snore masking capabilities yet, as I haven’t tried the headphones sleeping next to my partner yet. I’m working on improving my sleep patterns first before sleeping in the same bed again (his frequent squirming and snoring are just a bit too much for me right now). Overall, these headphones are helping me get to sleep, and seem to help me stay asleep too. Largely down to the noise cancelling I think. I also have a pair of Liberty 5 for working in an office, and their noise cancelling is great too. They’re just not the right shape for sleeping, hence my choice it try the A30 sleep ones. I hope this review helps other people like me with sleep issues, as there seems to be a few bad reviews out there for these headphones from people who haven’t quite bothered to figure out how to use them properly.

Comfortable and blocks out noise well

They're really good. They recently partnered with Calm to release these Sleep Stories things shortly after I bought mine so you can fall asleep to stories read to you by famous actors with really soothing voices, which is usually something you'd need to pay a subscription for. There's one that's basically Steven Fry ASMR and one that's a story about the Greek Gods read by Alan Sklar which put me to sleep instantly. It also has a feature that let's you pick white noise to fall asleep to, which includes the ability to mix together your own custom sound from a combination of others. The house I grew up in had a very unique noise of water running through the pipes in the walls and I was able to recreate it near perfectly. The noise cancellation is really good and they're very small so they sit inside your ear and let you sleep on your side, just make sure to read the manual which tells you how you're supposed to put them in because it's not like similar earbuds. The build quality is really good which you'd hope for considering how much they cost. I have a couple of other Soundcore products and they're clearly more of a premium item. They're really expensive but that's mostly because they're a niche product, but anyone who suffers from sleep problems is probably willing to pay that. I suffer from Type-1 Narcolepsy so I've bought a lot of sleep aides and this combined with a manta sleep mask has helped me fall asleep and more importantly stay asleep more nights than not. I got mine on offer for £160 but I may have gotten them at full price if I knew they'd never go on sale. The only issues are that the touch controls are a bit difficult to use, like the default option to turn the volume up is to tap the right earbud 3 times and it goes up by like a fraction of a decibel which is insanely slow. You can change it in the settings so that the volume is adjusted by a double tap but it's still not great. Also it can lose connection to Bluetooth sometimes but it's only ever when I'm already asleep so that's fine. Basically the downsides don't outweigh the positives imo. A lot of people also say the battery life is bad but it's honestly not, it'll last about 9 hours if you're playing sound or using the noise cancellation feature all night, which is honestly fine because who plans to sleep longer than 9 hours? They had to make the batteries small so they'd be small enough to wear comfortably at night so it's a decent trade off.

Works well, try the various cups for fit e.g. I used a larger cup and it did not work, I contacted support who are excellent and very supportive and they assisted 100% and fixed the problem.

They are comfy even when sleeping on your side, they noise cancel well. They occasionally still fall out but way less than other buds and might be my tips aren't correctly sized. Great product.
