Motion 300 | Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Love every bit of it! Everyone praises it's sound quality!

I'm only pointing out things that are not good if it's not mentioned it then it good. My biggest issue is that the app doesn't play well with the speakers. I have two speakers I can tell with one is connected because the app doesn't let me change the name. Either speaker uses the same model profile. The stereo pairing with another speaker is not so straightforward. It seemed like once it paired, stereo pairing starts automatically both speakers are on. The bass is just good. Other popular speakers like JB... or the Bos... still beat this speaker but I got it at a great price and it fit the purpose I got it for. I needed a stereo set up for the park and that is waterproof. Many reviewers mention that a few equalizers tweaks can put it over the top. If I found it true, I'll upgradey review.

I first had to do some reading and youtube and reddit to get the gist of how to use the EQ adjustments. I imagine if someone in the know were to see my settings they would be amused; BUT trial and error and patience paid off! My settings literally look like a constellation, haha, but I am very blessed to have found a small speaker that allows for adjustments. I took away most of the bass from the factory settings leaving just enough. I increased the mid range levels to give more clarity to voices. And lastly I set the high notes just enough where I couldn't hear any hiss on the Ss. The results are far better than what I was expecting! There is also a setting to turn off the speaker after so many minutes of not being used.When your speaker arrives go to Google or Apple to download their app. Just type in "Soundcore App." Once you've downloaded the app, open it up and pair it with your speaker. Then just follow a few prompts and you are good to go.If you have someone in your lifewho can show you the ropes on how the settings work you will be way ahead of the game. Took me a while to do the reading and toying with the settings.I am sensitive to sound and I encourage anyone to buy this for themselves or for anyone that they happen to know who would benefit from having individualized settings. This speaker will help those who have age based hearing loss, or ADD & autism spectrum based sound sensitivity. I bought this to use with my iPad because my faithful speaker of 12 years can no longer pair with newer technology- it was made before they started adding enhanced base . This little speaker is ideal if you need, or prefer, more dynamic for different genres of music; or to help you understand dialogue better. I will be using this for audiobooks as well.I'm very excited about this little speaker and I'll highly recommend giving it a try. I just set mine up tonight so obviously I don't know how it will perform over time. It is a solid well designed piece of equipment made out of good materials, with a user-friendly app.

This is a good speaker but when testing the bass to its maximum at louder volumes you notice the speaker has distortion, as if the bass is not tight. Can the distortion be corrected/fixed?

Alan Ross reviews (from YouTube) also says this speaker has distortion.

I've been wanting a portable Bluetooth speaker for a while now, especially after using my dad's Bose SoundLink Flex. The issue was finding something worth its price, while also being portable and powerful. The Bose was tough competition for sure, but the price tag steered me away quick - $150 (at the time of writing this). Enter the Anker Soundcore 300 - $68 (at the time of writing this). Comparable in size, weight, and design. The Anker however, better in sound. Turn on BassUp mode and it shadows the Bose.Off the bat you notice the attention they put into this. Premium feel. The Anker is ever so slightly bigger, and ever so slightly heavier (but in my opinion it's not noticeable).The Bose powers on with one click, the Anker you have to hold for a few seconds like traditional portable Bluetooth speakers. Both speakers have adaptive EQ adjustment depending on orientation (laying down, upright, etc).While Bose doesn't publicly state their wattage, I believe it's equipped with 20w. The Anker is equipped with 30w speakers. The Bose is no slouch by any means but a side by side comparison, the 30w makes a difference in deeper and clearer sound. That's without BassUp mode turned on.The Anker also has a slightly better waterproof rating at IPX7 vs Bose with IP67.The Anker also claims 13hrs of play time vs Bose with 12hrs. Also Bluetooth v5.3 vs Bluetooth v4.2. Also the Anker has a detachable (just as rugged) strap vs the Bose having a fixed one.Keep in mind the years these released - SoundLink Flex Oct 2021, SoundCore 300 Oct 2023.All in all I got everything I was looking for. Couldn't recommend the SoundCore 300 enough, and for $68 (vs $150) it's a steal with everything you get.
