Short backstory as to why I got this and how it's handled what I've thrown at it. I needed something light and compact (as portable as possible). I traveled overseas so luggage space as always is tight. It has handled everything from a two foot drop onto concrete (not sure if it was perfect conditions or what) but it did not break, crack or malfunction the entire time since then, it has handled the added heat, and additionally the extra dust/microdust. The lens is a little scratched up but I feel that's to be expected with how much I've traveled with it at this point. I carried it in my backpack, and a pelican case at times. My prior purchase of a 480p SK UO smart beam portable mini projector left me worried that I wouldn't be able to find something portable enough while at the same time not sacrificing picture quality, battery (having one at all), casting capability/hdmi as well as bluetooth, and more. How I'd rate this on different aspects in depth (short version at the end)Picture quality - I rate at a 5/5 for the size this projector is and how mobile it can be. The auto adjust and auto avoidance for obstacles is handy as hell being I've been in tents, shotty "hotels", etc. for this and let me tell you nine times out of ten the floors uneven/ not level or the wall is or the item you have it on is not level (I purchased the base they sell for it for an additional amount from the website itself, highly recommend it for portability and being able to set it on a raised flat surface). IT IS A TRUE 1080P. Big aspect for me with gaming, watching TV and movies.Sound quality - 4/5 on this; I'm biased on this because a JBL Flip 5 sounds good compared to it BUT that speaker is only a little but slimmer than the projector and is the same height as the projector. Overall the sound quality is good, it can be loud but that's also dependent on the app your using. I'm looking at you HBO Max! (Max is a bit quiet on the app/casting to the projector, Bluetooth speaker solved that though so no big deal)The battery - 4/5 for size of this thing. I can watch maybe a 1 hour 10 minute movie with battery saver on with sound playing from this (that's using WIFI and or casting to it)The operating system - 4/5 it does what you need it to do. I will say, I had some troubles at first that I wish I knew the answers to like connecting an external hard drive for movies/shows (your hard drive won't receive power from this thing to run so plan accordingly, never got that to work didn't look into hard drives of that sort if they exist) I used my laptop mostly with either screen sharing from my phone to the laptop with a HDMI cable to the projector or just HDMI from laptop to the projector. It does have built-in applications that you can download like MAX and others but not all of the big name ones are available, I'm not tech savvy enough to change the operating system and don't want to.Further into the functionality of settings - they are easy to find with the remote (the touch buttons on the top of the projector are too finicky for my liking), after you use it a few times it becomes second hand (I still bump the screen auto correct button every once in a while and get blinded by the brightness of the white picture it uses).I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff but that's my honest review of this and I hope it helps some of you make a decision on it based on your needs. If I could've lugged around a bigger, nicer (cheaper), projector I would've but space is always tight when traveling.Feel free to ask questions and I'll answer as best I can.*ABBREVIATED VERSION OF THE ABOVEIf you're on the fence of buying this and need something portable (truly portable, the battery technology is not there in my opinion), but if you can find a power source (65w I believe?), it will work great for you. Size & weight is perfect, image is great, and sound quality and volume is good. 10/10 would recommend.I was not paid for this review. I got bored after explaining how I liked it to a friend. I will continue to use this at home as well. If it and once it reaches the end of its life I will update this post.
