Amazing Sound!

My Q35s lived a long life but passed on this weekend, so I decided the space 2 would be a great upgrade. The color options were difficult to choose between, but the oatmeal white looked expensive. I was hoping the hinges were metal and they are! They have a good weight to them and I could wear them forever! The sound is better and deeper than the q35s, as always I love the application's sound customization features. The ANC is very good, especially when you have music actively playing. I made sure to include many photos!

Only con I can think of is the normal and anc mode seems to be switched around in the app.

Really good hardware… software features feel limiting

Man… these are really, really good. But also have some quirks that bug me, mostly with the app and how limited the controls are.

This is a headset, so sound is the big thing. I’ll be honest, I mostly listen to audiobooks. I’ve never really thought of myself as someone who cares that much about audio quality. But I noticed the difference right away with these compared to anything else I’ve owned.

Where it really clicked for me was plugging them into my PS5 controller with the included cable and using them powered off. That was the moment where I went… oh okay, I get it now. These sound really, really good.

They’re also super comfortable. Easy to wear for a long time without thinking about it. I’ve definitely had moments where I forgot I was even wearing them. The noise canceling is great too. It doesn’t have that weird pressure feeling I get with my older Q30s, which I really appreciate.

The app is where I start to get a little frustrated.

There are some really cool features. The custom EQ hearing test is actually pretty neat. You listen to a bunch of tones and it builds a sound profile based on how you hear things. Felt kind of fancy, and it worked well. The AI translation feature is also surprisingly good. I tested it with a French video and even with about a 10 to 15 second delay, it was very accurate. I probably won’t use it much, but it’s impressive.

But the problem is how everything is set up.

For context, I’ve owned multiple Soundcore products, especially the Life A1 earbuds, and I love those. One of the main reasons is how customizable they are. I can change single tap, double tap, long press, on each earbud, and make them do exactly what I want.

These… not so much.

The buttons are just really limited. The noise canceling button on the left side can only cycle through modes. Noise canceling, transparency, normal. That’s it. I can’t change what it does, I can’t change the order, and I can’t set a default startup mode unless I disable the other modes entirely which would make the button useless because you can't remap the button to anything else. And the double tap feature on the button can only be bassup, or nothing. I don't see myself ever using bassup, I really wish I could change that double tap to be anything else.

Same thing with the other buttons. I kept trying to set them up how I like, like I can with my earbuds, and just kept running into limits.

For instance: The translation feature works well, but the only way to use it is to map it to a button, then press that button, then go BACK to the app to control the feature. There’s no simple way to just turn it on in the app which would be nice cause I'm not going to be using the feature a lot, and I really wish I could change that button to just do something else entirely like skip song, but no, voice assistant, AI translator, or nothing are the only options.

Couple smaller things:

The microphone is solid and does a good job cutting background noise, but it sounds a little muffled compared to my phone mic.

At this price, I really wish it came with a better case. It’s just a soft pouch, which feels a little underwhelming. I ended up buying a hard case separately.

There's a built in ear sensor (pictured) that is supposed to pause media if I take the headset off.... It has never once worked on my headset. I assume this is just a bug that will be fixed in a future update since these are so new. But there's instructions describing what this feature is supposed to do and instructing me to take the little film cover off of it, which I did, but it has never once worked and there's nothing about it in the app to be able to turn it on or off so I think it's just simply not working on mine.

All that said… I do really like these. The hardware is excellent. Sound, comfort, build quality, all really strong. I would recommend them.

I just really wish the app and button customization matched how good the hardware is. If that doesn’t bother you, you’re going to love these.

Amazing Launch Deal! Lightweight & Quiet (Plus a Bonus Case!)

I just received the new Soundcore Space 2 on launch day and I’m already impressed. Here are a few things I’ve noticed right out of the box:

• The Launch Bonus: Just a heads up for everyone—I purchased these during the launch window and they came with a FREE hardshell travel case (the grey textured one in my photos). To be clear, the retail box normally includes a black soft carry pouch, so getting the hard case as an extra gift was a fantastic value. It feels very sturdy and fits the headphones perfectly.

• Weight & Comfort: These are incredibly lightweight (261g). I’ve been wearing them while setting up and they feel like they’re barely there. The memory foam is soft and doesn’t feel like it’s clamping too hard on my head.

• Setup & Firmware: As soon as I paired them with my iPad and opened the Soundcore app, a firmware update popped up. It took about 5–10 minutes to install, but it really seemed to stabilize the connection.

• Noise Cancellation (ANC 3.0): The Adaptive ANC is very solid. It easily handles the low hum of my apartment. For sharper sounds like the TV, I found that switching to "Manual Mode - Level 5" in the app works best to really seal out the world.

• Battery for Days: The box confirms 70 hours of battery (50 with ANC), which is class-leading for this price.

Pro-Tip: If you’re using these for gaming or movies, make sure to enable the "Dual Device Connection" in the settings. I have mine hooked up to my iPad and my laptop simultaneously and the switching is seamless.

Overall, for $129, getting these headphones plus the bonus hardshell case is a steal. Highly recommended!

Literally a different dimension...

Compared to the Space One Pro and Liberty 4 Pro, the ANC was so good I thought I was in like a virtual reality or something... soundcore has cracked the code to another dimension with these pair of headphones.

They were lighter than ever before, featuring a built-in white noise sleep mode which were convenient when I want to listen to sounds like rain or nature. The buttons were easy to press, leaving no burden or pressure when using. (You could see in the photo they have some sort of new wearing detection sensors in the headphones).

Please buy, you are definitely missing out on the best pair of headphones in 2026 for $129 (underrated). Thank you soundcore, love y'all♡♡

Very good at ANC

Call this a 4.5 star review. Its good, but there are a few little issues.

First the good. Packing is top notch, in the new "clever" style where its all folded cardboard and nested. The headphones themselves look just like the ad pictures. My set is the "seafoam green" which has more of a grayish cast to me, but could just be me.

Charging was easy - external USB-C and took a very short amount of time. BT pairing was also easy. Ear cans will natually reduce outside DB about 25 or so, and these were no exception. Then I turned on the ANC and its very good. I have another set of ear cans with similar, but they were in the 60 dollar range, and there is a noticeable improvment in that price jump.

The clarity of the audio was excellent. This was all on the default settings as it came out of the box. This unit does have the ability to sync with a phone app, and while I normally don't bother, I got curious.

The app does *not* require you to create an account to use it. Thats a big plus. I'm sure they're harvesting data left and right the entire time I use it, but I hate mandatory new accounts for *everything* electronic. It found and downloaded and installed new firmware for the headset (a first in my experience that they would have that ability) and I got to poking around in the app. I found the hearing test app, and thats where the issues started.

The app apparently defaulted to a non-roman script, and became unusable. Backing out to the normal app interface got me english and I was able to exit the app. I uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it and on the second time no problems. The sound testing app involves a snippet of song being played 2 ways and you pick the one that sounds better. Most of the time it was pretty much the same to my ears.

Gives you the option to use default equalizer, your custom based on the test, or you can create a whole custom set from scratch. I also found several meditation EDM style mood music options, and a couple of go to sleep story apps. In all, intersting but I don't like that the font is not dynamic and is set at a pretty small scale. Had to use accessibility magnification to see some of the print.

The only other concern I have is that it is not waterproof at all. I don't intend to go outside in a downpour, but inadvertant spill = dead unit is not a trade I want to make.

Can recommend, its very nice though at the higher end of the price range I would pay for this type of unit.
