Having come from the JBL range, I wasn't looking for much other than a reasonably priced speaker. What I got was pocket sized dynamite, phenomenal quality, and the kind of battery life Nokias are made of. There isn't an occasion this litte guy isn't perfect for, solo dance party, or group hang by the pool, it's the pocket sized utility that packs a mighty punch.
Good sound, impact resistance, water resistance/proof.
while you cant expect large amount of bass from such a small speaker, you can be assured it still sounds absolutely great. it is a little thin in some frequencies but that was easily fixed by tuning the EQ(8-band setup with full control.)
The good: sound quality(8/10 out of box) is really good despite the size of the speaker, and the volume is no joke. waterproofing and drop-proofing(10/10) have been accidentally tested by me, and it is surprisingly durable. i had dropped it from around 7 feet a couple times when i thought i had it looped on my finger while reaching up, and it survived both times. my little cousin thought it a great idea to throw into a pool(did not retrieve right away because it popped right back up and kept going.) the size(8/10), it's a little bulky, but straps to a backpack and is light enough not to notice. the battery(10/10) lasted all day at the pool at around 10-25% volume.
the bad: cant really complain about much, but i do wish the buttons had lights or texture, not just the power button.
These are great. I bought another one so I can pair them together. Basically using 2 on my desk, one for the right and one for the left side. I also have soundcores noise cancelling buds and headset and their larger party speaker. Great company, I stopped using jbl and Bose, strictly sticking to sound core. Audio quality is on par and price is less than half in a lot of casesI also have a set of high quality studio monitors (speakers for music production) and I prefer using the soundcores when gaming or watching vids, they’re that good
I bought this to have a speaker in my shower. It connected quickly and works well. I was blown away at the sound. You get an amazing sounding speaker for the price and I feel it punches well above its weight in that. So far, battery life has been great. I’ve only charged it once. Get it while it’s on sale and it’s a no brainer for a good speaker on the go.
