soundcore Sleep A30 | The World's First Smart ANC Sleep Earbuds

Like everyone here who has purchased these, I tried every “sleep” earbud around and wondered why they were just regular earbuds that were not comfy or quiet as advertised?. All “sleep” specific buds just couldn’t shut out the noise or fit comfortably for side sleeping. These, however, have it all! It’s a little overwhelming at first to comprehend just how much these earbuds do, ANC, white noise (and other color background noise too), your choice of tranquil sounds, their recommendations to mask sounds, data on your sleep quality, Bluetooth, auto detect sleep to turn off. There’s a lot of options to customize your favorite settings, I was glad to read the clear explanations of what they all are for. The silicone buds and wings are the softest I’ve ever felt, like nothing in my ears at all. I fall asleep to podcasts, Starry Skies or Tibetan singing bowls,etc., and wake up to a gentle hum of Himalayan wind, or the sweet sound of birds singing a gentle music alarm. It’s amazing! But I made the mistake of letting my sweetheart try them (he’s been searching as well), and he won’t give them back! Just one more day, he’ll say, just need to test them a little more, he says. Enough! Honestly, he loves them and he’s just going to have to buy them here using my member discount. I hope these last for years and that replacement tips will be available if ever necessary. Great ear buds to sleep in , very comfortable even for restless sleepers as myself . Love the translation ability which is the easiest way to use fo translation sonic better than the phone app . Love these and bought them for my husband.

Did a good amount of research before purchasing these. My partner snores so regular ear plugs didn't cut it for me. These are a big improvement. They are pretty comfortable, even for us side sleepers, and they come with several sizes attachments to fit your ears. They stay in well at night. I like that you can fall asleep to your music or sounds via bluetooth and it will take over and give you the snore cancellation feature once you fall asleep or your own audio ends. My only real criticism is that the ANC (active noise cancellation) is pretty much useless or non-existent. I tested outside sound with and without the ANC on and there was no noticeable difference. Other than that, they do a good job drowning out outside noise via bluetooth audio or their own built-in soundscapes. The sleep report is ok. It's not very detailed, but I use a dedicated sleep app from my watch to measure my sleep. Sound quality is good. I didn't really buy them for the sound quality, but music does sound good. These could easily be used as everyday earbuds if you wanted to. There are definitely more expensive earbuds out there. I don't know how much better they are. These are a good value for the money if you use them regularly and need to drown out outside noise for sleep.

It's exactly what it claims to be at a great price. Great tracking, best in class battery life. Good enough sound quality. Local and bluetooth playback.So I'm just gonna talk about the pain points for now.I will be first in line for any upgrades that bring fixes for the following:The biggest problem for me is that ANC being enabled all night doesn't last a full 8 hours. There's modes to disable ANC once it detects that you fell asleep, but that doesn't prevent sounds from waking you up in the middle of the night.I wish it was just a bit more comfortable, maybe rounded edges. On a very firm memory foam pillow, the edge of the bud can dig into your ear depending on how you lay. It's not enough to wake you, but you'll realize that you are laying differently to avoid it while falling asleep.

Per customer support I have placed order for, and now received a SECOND (replacement) for these A30s. Their first gen (A20's) were good all the way around with one major exception - sound quality! Big one, eh? Otherwise I would be using and never considered upgrade. The A30s ARE an upgrade for sure. Sound is stunning for these sleep dedicated buds. The problem, and I HOPE it's either a glitch or I got faulty ones to start, is the HORRENDOUS BATTERY LIFE!! Apparently the best battery life is only available if you use "LOCAL" setting which means any audio coming through from things like streaming, radio, etc. will ONLY play through phone's speaker, NOT the earbuds! If keep on "BLUETOOTH" mode, batteries apparently will only last a few hours and then disconnect. If you expect to be awakened by any alarm, radio, etc., you WILL NOT hear from the earbuds. This is HUGE FLAW making these completely useless as actual SLEEP earbuds. I'm hoping I'm wrong. If they do work and give me a solid 8 or 9 hours of sleep, IN BLUETOOTH MODE, without disconnecting, I will change my rating to 5 stars as these would MY EVERY DAY SLEEPBUDS from now on. We shall see...--------------NEXT DAY...Well, I am officially CHANGING MY REVIEW TO 5 STARS!! I really must have gotten a bad battery on the first order. These worked flawlessly. After a solid 7 hour sleep cycle, I checked the battery life (ran bluetooth streaming maybe 2.5 hours when falling asleep, then no audio input until wake up alarm - through the earbuds) and the battery remaining was like 85%! VERY pleased. And of course the SOUND signature like night and day compared to the A20s. Good job Souncore!!
