Beyond Happy.

I purchased these as soon as I saw the Anker Day Live Stream. I am not a meeting person nor am I in a position where I feel that I would need the note taker that the Liberty 5 Pro Max offers. That is the sole reason I did no go with the maxes.

These earbuds are phenomenal. I work in the resturant business and there are times where its beyond busy and times when it slows down. Being able to adjust on the fly via the buds case is amazing and something I can't believe other earbuds haven't done. I love that they come with different tips and fins to adjust to your ear shape and size. I am one of those weirdos who has two different shape ear canals. Finding the appropriate fit is a trial an error but that's natural and im beyond happy we have as many different tips to in get the right fit.

My absolute favorite two feature on these buds and in order are the custom EQ. Its absolutely amazing the different sounds you can achieve simply by taking the HearID test. Naturally these buds are Bassy and I naturally do like that but being able to get so many different hearing profile is fantastic, easy and I love that he saves the profile and from a click you're able to adjust which profile you have whether its a custom one or a preset.

The ANC is Great, its not the absolute best I've had but its up there. Had no issue wearing them at work and being able to tune out noise on some downtime.

I did use them while going for a run and they stayed snug and fit very well. I was a bit concerned of how they would stay in as my experience of earbuds with fins is very limited but to my surprise they held up great.

My honest Review these are fantastic and if you're on the fence of which one to try. Get the Liberty 5 Pro maxes if you take notes or go to meeting and have that kind of life. If you don't then go with the Liberty 5 Pro's. Definitely a Solid pair of earbuds and will be my daily-buds for the foreseeable future.

5/5 stars. Good Job Soundcore.

Battery MEH

Received these and charged them to the fullest. Had minimal features turned on and had mostly standby time. Had ANC Transparency turned on just to enjoy conversation. Earbuds died within maybe 5 hours. I previously had the Areofit 2 open ear and those in my opinion are better. When you cram more technology into a device you sacrifice battery life and longevity. The Areofit 2 last my whole work shift and then some. I wear them at night and know that the battery won't die. The Liberty 5 Pros fall short for myself in the active work life I have. Don't want to constantly take them out and charge every few hours to make it through the day.
Sound quality is nice. Going through the setup and getting a personalized sound equalizer is nice. The ANC features are nice and fun to test out. But for the field I work in, I can't have full on ANC. Being able to make adjustments on the case is nice. You don't have to access the phones app to change personal settings. Charging is fast and only takes about 15-20 mins from 0-100%.
Comfortability wise they are adjustable with different fins and silicon buds. You're able to get that custom feel to be able to wear them for an extended time frame. In the app you are able to do a test in which it will tell you if the earbud is positioned right in your ear or not.
Overall, these would be great for that office worker that needs to escape from the surrounding noise. But for someone that is on the go and needs to be aware of their surroundings at all times, these might not be the right earbuds. Also with the battery life not lasting as long as the Aerofit 2, I'll probably switch back or try the newer Pro version.

Soundcore Liberty Pro 5 Review: A Galaxy Buds FE Upgrade Perspective

Tested use case: work from home, heavy single-bud call use, music while coding, and general household chaos.

Galaxy Buds FE Comparison

I am coming from the Galaxy Buds FE, and that is probably the most useful comparison point for me.

I am also a Buds FE user for a specific reason: AirPods-style designs do not work for my ears. They do not stay in place well enough, so I need something with a more secure fit and some kind of actual lock-in. That is a big part of why the Buds FE worked for me in the first place, and it is also why the Liberty Pro 5 are such an interesting upgrade option.

The Buds FE are not bad earbuds. They have a good in-ear seal, decent passive noise reduction, and the wingtip style helps them lock in better than a lot of other buds. But for me, they could create pressure points over time, and that made long sessions harder than they needed to be.

The Liberty Pro 5 feel like a substantial upgrade in that specific area. They still have that secure, locked-in feel I liked from the Buds FE, but without the same pressure point issue. For anyone looking at these as a Buds FE upgrade, especially because you like the wingtip fit but want something more comfortable, this is probably one of the strongest reasons to consider them.

The Good

Single-bud call quality is legitimately impressive. The AI noise reduction is not just marketing nonsense. I tested it about 3 feet from an active soundbar with kids in the room, and the caller heard zero background noise. Even better, I was in the same room as the caller during part of the test, and they were not getting backfeed of their own voice coming through the call.

Manual ANC is where these really shine. Level 5 with wind reduction gives near-total isolation. I could tell sound existed from a Bose soundbar about 10 feet away, but I could not make out details. That is exactly what I want when I need to lock in and focus.

Comfort is a real upgrade. The wingtip design locks in securely without creating pressure points, which is the big difference from the Buds FE for me. These are actually wearable for long stretches, which is not something I can say about a lot of earbuds.

Sound quality is noticeably better than my Galaxy Buds FE. Custom EQ matters, though. The auto-tune feature was not great for me because the reference tracks were not really the right fit.

I also love the non-stem design. The barrel shape with wingtips hits the sweet spot for people like me whose ears just do not get along with AirPods-style stems.

The Acceptable

Adaptive ANC is fine. It works well enough when you want some situational awareness, but manual ANC is clearly where the real performance is.

The sound quality upgrade by itself probably would not justify the purchase for me, but it is still noticeably better than the Buds FE. For someone else, the audio improvement alone could easily be a valid reason to buy them. For me, the value comes from the full package: comfort, ANC, call quality, and the form factor all working together.

The Bad

Honestly, I really do not have much negative to say at this point.

The only real criticism is that I wish I had bought the Liberty 5 Pro Max instead. I just did not want to shell out the extra money on something I was not certain would be a good fit. Now that I know the fit, comfort, ANC, and call quality work this well for me, I kind of regret not going straight to the higher-end version.

The Verdict

These are not just “good earbuds.” They are really good specialist earbuds for a group of people that most companies seem to ignore.

If your actual use case is single-bud calls, work-from-home noise, switching between focus and awareness, and needing all-day comfort without stem-style buds, these punch way above their price. They may not be the perfect earbuds for everyone, but for this specific use case, they are kind of exactly what I was looking for.

For Galaxy Buds FE users specifically, I think this is a very strong upgrade path. You keep the secure, locked-in wingtip style, but get better comfort, better ANC, better call performance, and better sound.

Value rating: Excellent

They deliver flagship-level performance in the areas that matter most for remote work, but at a much more reasonable price.
